This week the children have been learning about Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is Friday 31st of January and this year will be the year of the Horse.
The children have made Chinese Lanterns, which they decorated with glitter. They also made fans using coloured card and felt pens. In addition to this the children made a ‘Red Pocket’ with a chocolate coin inside.
The colour red symbolises luck and traditionally they are decorated with Chinese gold characters such as health. 4+ decorated theirs using gold pen and Chinese characters that symbolise their name.
