Keeping cool
In this heatwave we have been finding new ways to keep cool, from exploring frozen dinosaur eggs to splashing in paddling pools. Children have also been keeping our plants hydrated too!

This week in nursery we have had some very special visitors! Children in Rabbit room have been learning to recognise, read and write their names. They have been writing their name in paint, hunting for letters in the sensory tray, shaking glitter over glue pictures to reveal their name and singing songs to help them remember the letters.
In the lead up to Easter, the children have taken part in a range of Easter themed activities. Babies have been making collages with feathers, toddlers have been finger painting bunnies and preschool children have been rolling eggs in paint to create different prints and colours. This afternoon we celebrated Mother’s Day by throwing an afternoon tea and inviting the special women in our children’s lives to join us. Lots of our children have made a fantastic effort this World Book Day! We have enjoyed talking about who everyone has dressed up as and reading the different stories.
